Sentinel Daily reviews Fragments
Sentinel Daily has reviewed Mörkekraft’s debut album Fragments, highlighting the band’s ability to move beyond the traditional stoner rock tag and into a broader, more varied heavy rock landscape.

The review points out that while Mörkekraft certainly make use of heavy, mid-paced riffs and stomping grooves, the songs are shaped by enough variation and melodic character to open the album up to a wider audience. Tracks like Godspeed and Virgil are described as having a subtle Britpop feel in their use of classic riff-driven songwriting, while still drawing from the late sixties and early seventies rock tradition.
Several songs are singled out throughout the review. Ghosts is called “an absolute ripper” and described as classic Scand-retro-rock, with its layered vocals noted as a strong detail. Kaleidoscope is praised as a six-minute hard rock odyssey that pushes one of the album’s more stoner-driven moments toward space rock territory. Evil Eyes is also highlighted as one of the album’s majestic moments.
Like Velvet Thunder before them, Sentinel Daily also questions the old “depressed Thin Lizzy” comparison. Instead, the review suggests that one of the album’s strengths is that it does not sound too much like anyone else — just three musicians who know a scorching riff and a good arrangement when they hear one.
