Mörkekraft – heavy rock from Southern Norway
Mörkekraft is a Norwegian band that blends rock, stoner, and psychedelic rock into a powerful combination of heavy riffs, atmospheric melodies, and straightforward rock. Inspired by somber forests and soaring eagles, the band creates music that delves into the human struggle and the search for meaning.
The band was formed in Southern Norway after several years of sporadic jam sessions, where the three members drew inspiration from previous musical projects and the foundations of heavy rock. With roots in punk, Scandirock and experimental rock, Mörkekraft has developed a distinctive musical identity, balancing intensity, atmosphere and melodic weight in a sound that is both hard-hitting and reflective.
In May 2026, Mörkekraft released their debut full-length album Fragments through Octopus Rising / Argonauta Records. The album was recorded at Bridge Burner Recording in Stavanger, with Ørjan Kristoffersen Lund (Kal-El, NAG), and mastered by Steven Grant Bishop (Satyricon, Karavan, Sløtface).
Built from riffs, ideas and musical fragments collected over many years, Fragments moves from driving, riff-based heavy rock to darker and more atmospheric passages. The album explores weight, melody and unease, with lyrics touching on inner conflict, destructive forces and the search for meaning.
Fragments has received positive reviews from both Norwegian and international media.

Mörkekraft have also received airplay and attention on Norwegian national radio NRK P13, including features on shows hosted by Thomas Felberg and Totto Mjelde.
During the same creative period, Mörkekraft recorded a cover of “Writhe” by Kyuss, featured on the international tribute album Spaceship Landing: A Tribute to KYUSS, released in October 2025 via Witching Buzz Records.
Although Fragments is Mörkekraft’s debut album, the members bring years of experience from previous bands, live shows and touring in Norway and abroad.
Mörkekraft are now available for live bookings in support of Fragments.

Fragments er et album bygget på riff, idéer og musikalske fragmenter samlet gjennom mange år – fra drivende og tunge låter til mørkere og mer stemningsfulle partier. Musikken kretser rundt tyngde, melodi og uro, med tekster om indre kamp, destruktive krefter og søken etter mening.
Selv om Fragments er Mörkekrafts debutalbum, har medlemmene lang erfaring fra tidligere band, konserter og turnévirksomhet i både Norge og utlandet.
