The Kyuss tribute Spaceship Landing, released by Witching Buzz, has now been reviewed by Dutch rock magazine Rockportaal.nl.

In his article, Cor Schilstra calls the record “a fine collection of reinterpretations” that celebrates one of the most influential bands in desert and stoner rock history. He writes that the album gathers 20 bands presenting their own interpretations of Kyuss classics — a project that demonstrates how the band’s influence continues to inspire musicians across the world.

Schilstra highlights several performances, mentioning artists like Sonic Wolves, Rhino, Rainbow Bridge, Fuzz Evil, 3 Wheeler Band, DoctoR DooM, Loose Sutures, and Wet Cactus for their distinctive takes on Kyuss material.

While each version stands on its own, the reviewer emphasizes that the compilation as a whole is an enjoyable listen, with a mix of faithful renditions and creative variations. He concludes that it’s “a nice collection of re-interpretations” where listeners are likely to discover new bands worth exploring.

For Mörkekraft, it’s great to see Spaceship Landing continuing to reach new audiences and receive positive attention in international rock media.
