Writhe — Kyuss cover
"Writhe" is Mörkekraft’s take on a classic from Kyuss – a band that defined the desert rock genre. We’ve kept the weight and groove of the original while adding our own dark edge. The result is a track steeped in dusty roads, burning sun, and raw energy. Our version appears on Spaceship Landing – A Tribute to Kyuss, released by Witching Buzz October 31, 2025.
Evil Eyes
The third track, "Evil Eyes", released April 18 2025, explores the feeling of being trapped under the gaze of corrupt powers and inner demons. The song blends relentless riffs with an ominous atmosphere, capturing the tension between submission and the fight for freedom.
Kaleidoscope
With a nod to The Beatles' Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, "Kaleidoscope" blends heavy riffs with a hypnotic atmosphere. The song takes the listener on a journey through shifting perspectives, illusions, and the fine line between control and chaos—where fascination can quickly turn into obsession. Martin Skage (You Know Who) described Mörkekraft’s sound as "a depressed Thin Lizzy", a sentiment that resonates particularly well with Kaleidoscope. Released March 2025.
Ghosts
"Ghosts", released in February 2025, explores humanity’s eternal pursuit of the unattainable, often with catastrophic consequences. The song reflects on religion, destruction, and our inability to learn from history before it’s too late – a dark perspective on humanity’s role in its own downfall.
